Ever since I can remember, I’ve been a passionate seeker of truth. Not the everyday variety, mind you, but the real heart of the matter truth that is often hidden beneath the surface of the life. In looking back, it seems like I missed out on joining some club where everyone takes an oath to share partial truths- no longer feeling the need to share the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This never really worked for me, although at times, I wish it had. I felt outside of things when I was the only one who seemed to see that the Emperor was indeed naked walking down the street and what’s worst is that no one else would speak up but me. It’s as if those around me began to wear some kind of colored glasses that kept them from seeing the real truth about themselves or others. Perhaps that what led me to become a Life Coach.
I believe with all my heart that the truth will set you free and those things that hold us back are those things we’ve hidden from ourselves or others. It isn’t easy seeing yourself for who you really are but once you move past the illusion you grow to love, respect and honor all of you, yes even the dark parts, and you grow in compassion towards yourself and others.
